New to Orienteering? “The aim is to navigate between checkpoints or controls marked on a special orienteering map. There is no set route so the skill and fun come from trying to find the best way to go. In competitive orienteering, the challenge is to complete the course in the quickest time.” For more info and up to date news please visit the British Orienteering website .
Beginners are always welcome! There’s loads of info available to help you make a start, and always someone willing to help if you come along to an event.
Membership has various benefits. Find out more about joining our Club and British Orienteering.
Permanent Orienteering Courses These are of particular interest to beginners, but also useful for anyone wishing to practice their navigation skills – or just to make a walk or run more interesting.
