Orienteering in Penrith – 7th December 2025

Report from Dan Parker ( 8/12/25) Border Liners Orienteering Club staged their final event of the year on Sunday 7th December around the streets of Penrith. It was also the last event in the North West Urban League for 2025. The event proved to be a great finale to a year during which BL has held 18 events throughout north east Cumbria. High Pike Saturday Series Event –27th September 2025

The latest event in Border Liners Orienteering Club’s Saturday Series took place on the north east slopes of High Pike on 27th September. Underfoot conditions were mostly rough grassland, but not too tussocky, making for good running despite the hilly nature of the terrain. It was a cool day with a strong breeze and fortunately the forecast rain held off until later in the day – ideal racing conditions.
