Travel Advice
If you are approaching from Carlisle you are advised not to use the B5299 through Dalston as the Dalston Show is taking place and there maybe very slow traffic and/or road closures. Instead, use the A595 and approach Faulds Brow from the NW.

Terrain
Generally fast grassy open fell with some heather and tussocks, many shake holes, some rock and few line features. Some small paths and temporary quad bike tracks are not shown on the map, and some paths that do appear on the map can be hard to follow on the ground

** VERY SHORT GREEN – this is the same course as the Short Green but with some controls missed out. If you want to do Very Short Green pick up a Short Green map at the start.  The map will show which controls to miss. You can decide while on the course whether or not to take the Very Short Green cut-off. The download system will work out which course you have completed.
