An event for primary schools was held last week at Brough School organised by BL members Christine, Julie, Gary, Keith and Richard. Nearly 70 children took part. They began with a “cones” exercise, designed to get them used to orientating the map and then moved on to a mini course around the school buildings. All the children had fun, though perhaps enthusiasm got the better of checking control codes and careful dibbing.
Huge thanks are due to the BL volunteers, especially Christine and Julie who had to deal with lots of last-minute changes to access arrangements and a shortage of helpers
