Last weekend (26th/27th October) BL members competed at two different events in Scotland.
The OMM was held in Glen Artney near Creiff and there were good results from all the Bl member taking part.
– Natalie Hawkrigg and her partner won the Short Score course by a big margin (photo below)
– Andy Lewsley (who has now competed in more than 40 OMMs) and partner, also doing the Short Score, were 4th vets team and 22nd overall.
– Jeff Powell-Davies and partner were 5th (out of about 150) in the Long Score

Further north, five BL members had a weekend of orienteering in the beautiful (especially at this time of year) and challenging forests around Grantown-on-Spey. There was a middle distance event at Keppernach on Saturday (Results and Routegadget) and a long on Sunday at Alvie (Results and Routegadget). There were no particularly noteworthy performances but with such lovely forest and excellent courses enjoyment levels were at a high.
